Tygerberg Rock and Surf

Tygerberg Rock and Surf just moved into their 16th year of existence . After two clubs (Liesbeeck Park & Sanlam Angling Clubs) merged 16 years ago , both with a strong social angling foundation ,the new club, Tygerberg Rock and Surf decided that it was surely the way to go and stay . Within the club environment, Tygerberg Rock and Surf compete in 8 Annual club competitions at deferent locations, varying from Witsand on the Breede River, right up to Langebaan on the West Coast .

These club competition away weekends, are where the family and friends would join for a relaxing weekend away, and where the new and upcoming anglers get their chance to spend time with the Anglers that been around the block more than once . These weekends are what make Tygerberg Rock and Surf unique. From exchanging ideas , competing with each other or letting your little ones catch their first fish, or just enjoying a few drinks with friends if the weather is bad or the fire is high, glue the club into a spirited unit. This is what sets us aside from the rest .

This has been our foundation and tradition from day one , and Tygerberg Rock and Surf surely leads here by example .

Proof of this can be seen in the number of new anglers competing successfully in the league, and new anglers doing well in the inter-club league environment.
Tygerberg Rock and Surf also has an excellent track record with regards to representation in the WCSAA’s various provincial sides, with numerous Tygerberg anglers selected to compete at National Level . This is a direct result of the healthy club culture and development experienced during away weekends.
